Spring Bus Tour - Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Our spring bus tour will begin at the Balboa Sports Center at 8:45 A.M. We will leave from the parking lot on Balboa Blvd. at 9:00 A.M. for Greenwood Daylily Gardens, Inc., in Somis. Greenwood grows thousands of daylily, iris, pelargonium and canna varieties for landscape professionals and home gardeners.

Lunch will be at Rancho de Las Flores where we will enjoy the beautiful hilltop views overlooking Greenwood. Bring your own sack lunch, desserts will be provided by our hostesses. The club will provide iced tea and bottled water.

Following lunch, the busliner will take us for a brief visit at the Somis Nut House.

Our last stop will be the five-acre Baron Brothers Nursery in Camarillo.

Wear walking shoes, bring a hat or visor and a sack lunch, and enjoy a day with your garden club friends. We will return to the Balboa Sports Center around 3:30 P.M.

Donation: $15.00 (includes bus driver’s tip, and a small donation to Southern California Garden Club).
